Raven is completely housebroken and minds very well, she goes outside and stays a while then comes back to the door to let me know when she wants inside. Laci
Laci was brought to me as a temp foster on 1/10/2024, she had been in LAH for being sick and was a stray picked up at the reservation. ALM was the rescue who brought her to me. Unfortunately, Laci was never picked up for transport and has become maybe another sanctuary dog due to her being people selective and aggressive to other dogs who are alpha as she is. I have not adopted Laci and she is still listed as a ALM rescue.
No cats but has tolerated chickens. Laci loves to run and explore, she is leash trained and loves going for rides. There may be someone out there special for Laci, I would suggest NO SMALL DOGS , I have not tested her around children.
I researched Laci and what her breed might be, and Cimarron Uruguayo is what I found, Laci is sable brindle and a beautiful girl, Laci does not like men and is very protective of me as she sees me as her caregiver. Approx age is 2.5 years as of 2/10/25 per Dr. Cronin. She weighs 62 pounds
NEEDS: Laci was spayed on 2/10/25 due to a prolapse and considered it an emergency. She is now fully vetted and UTD on her vaccines and rabies. However, I am not fors ure if she was heartworm tested , but will find out and have that done , and pro-heart injection given. Flea prevention

Dixie
Dixie is a pitbull female who came into my care Nov. 2023. She was an owner surrender along with several other dogs that went to the Polk County Shelter 6/30/2023. I fostered Dixie in hopes she would find the right home ( 11/2023) Rescue was ALM. Dixie tested heartworm positive and started doxy around Feb 2024, only the first treatment was given. Dixie was taken for her spay to DeHart but they would not spay her due to her being overweight. Nothing else was done to or wirth Dixie and I decided to adopt her from ALM August 2025 to make her a sanctuary dog.
Dixie is very animal aggressive and NO CHICKENS or CATS!! I feel Dixie may have been used or trained before she was surrendered to the county, Dixie is very people selective and I am the only one here that can tend to her, this is the main reason I decided to let Dixie stay as a sanctuary dog.
NEEDS: Dixie is scheduled for October 20 to go to LAH for a update heartworm test, and I know she is already positive so will start her on doxy again and this time the treatment will be finished, she also will get her PROHEART injections and get UTD on vaccines and rabies, Dixie also has a history of ear infections and will get that seen about also., I will discuss with Dr Cronin about her spay and if she is up to surgery due to her being overweight. Dixie weigh approx. 88 pounds Feb 2024.
