Our People

Jerry Domeier

Founder

Jerry has loved animals for as long as he can remember.

Raised by his mother, Ruth, whose compassion for animals shaped their home and their hearts, Jerry learned early on that caring for animals wasn’t just a kindness—it was a responsibility.

That lifelong bond and shared love became the foundation of who he is.

Inspired by his mother’s example and driven by a desire to give animals the safety and respect they deserve, Jerry set out to create a place where they could heal and thrive.

That vision became Winnie’s Warriors Animal Sanctuary, a reflection of a lifetime of devotion, empathy, and unwavering commitment to animals in need.

Niski Paredes

Co-Founder

Niski was raised by her maternal grandparents and her mother, who taught her from a young age to treat every living being with kindness and respect. Their example shaped her lifelong love for animals, especially dogs.

Niski’s connection to rescue became deeply personal when she met Winnie at a local shelter. She formed an immediate bond—two souls finding comfort in one another. After losing her mother two years ago, Niski felt inspired to create something meaningful from that love and loss.

This sanctuary was born from that vision: a peaceful place dedicated to healing abused, abandoned, and overlooked dogs. It is built on compassion, patience, and the belief that every life deserves safety, dignity, and a second chance—whether two-legged or four-legged.
